Happy New Year from your friends at KSPC 88.7FM!

Tune in tonight at 8pm for “Life Incorporated Radio”, a new program created and hosted by author, teacher, and documentarian Douglas Rushkoff.

This participatory radio show looks at both sides of Life Incorporated: how life has been literally “incorporated” by business and economics, and how can we incorporate LIFE back into our world: local commerce, community, social currency, and other emerging forms of participatory culture.

This is freeform, bottom-up, open source radio looking towards similarly open source, bottom-up solutions to some of the problems engendered by our relentlessly top-down society.

In this first edition of Life Incorporated Radio, Doug talks about local currency and interviews Paul Krassner.

Life Incorporated Radio is produced by the fabulous WFMU.

KSPC Goes Multimedia

Monday, December 15th, 2008

If you noticed that the navigation bar on the main KSPC website is letting you explore another half-inch more of space, you are not going crazy. We hope that, in the very near future, the brand new ‘Multimedia’ section will become the number one spot on the whole internet to find KSPC content like previously aired interviews, Uproot! discussions, photos and videos from KSPC events, and more!

For now, head over to the Interviews page to listen to an interview of the legendary Ian Mackaye, led by resident DJs Special K and Nino!
