Be sure to catch Pomona College’s very own Kitchen Hips on this Wednesday, March 28, at 11 pm on Flower Hours with DJ Lilly.

Kitchen Hips writes about vegetables, flowers, bicycles, honey, & love. Taking inspiration from early crooning females of the 1920s, gospel, angsty 60s women, and DIY psychedelic folk friends, she creates a unique atmosphere for your ears. She nabbed a banjo in 2010 and has been happily picking ever since. She describes her music as anti-folk old-timey lovely lady psychedelic banjo tunes. She can be found on the internet at http://www.facebook.com/kitchenhips or http://kitchenhips.bandcamp.com/
