As a non-commercial, educational radio station and community service, KSPC endeavors to inform and inspire the people of our local community — it is in that spirit that media theorist and author Douglas Rushkoff will return to the KSPC airwaves this Saturday, May 30th at 9pm with his new radio show, “The Media Squat“!

The radio show is produced live at WFMU (Mondays at 7pm on WFMU, replayed Saturdays at 9pm on KSPC) and “looks at both sides of Life Incorporated: how life has been literally “incorporated” by business and economics, and how can we incorporate LIFE back into our world: local commerce, community, social currency, and other emerging forms of participatory culture. This is freeform, bottom-up, open source radio looking towards similarly open source, bottom-up solutions to some of the problems engendered by our relentlessly top-down society.” (from the Media Squat site)

…so tune in and “find the others!” every Saturday night at 9pm on KSPC!

Rushkoff’s new book “Life Inc. – How the World Became a Corporation and How to Take it Back” will be released next Tuesday, June 2nd — click on the book below for more information!
