Bipolar Bear/Talbot Tagora - Abstract Distractions 10

On the front side, spinning five tracks wide, BIPOLAR BEAR, LA’s own fuzzy punks. On the flip, spinning four tracks deep (and into your eardrums they seep) Seattle’s psychedelic marching miscreants, Talbot Tagora.  Bipolar Bear has once again birthed some beautiful cubs, all slightly brit-tinged, but all taking on a rocking role of their own. ‘Library’ is a wet little upbeat short-lived pup, while ‘Algier’s’ is mildly darker. All have ph-fat bass lines. Talbot Tagora is something of a psychedelic 60s shaded, perhaps soon to be jaded, wired-on-something marching surfspook band; a real snare-heavy set- some truly eclectic sounds. You can mosh from the start of the flip with ‘Internet Fixture’ and shimmy on to the very end of the seemingly perpetual punkmarch of ‘the Weather Man’. Don’t blow your speakers out with this split.
