Lower48Promo

Just look at that adorable indie band. Don’t they seem like oodles of fun? In fact, they are! Their debut EP, “Everywhere to Go,” was released on Grape Juice Records this summer, and it is about what you’d expect from a cutesy indie folk band. All of the members of the quartet are under 20, though the lead (female) singer has a mature, smoky voice. Despite the simplicity and repetitiveness of some of the tracks, “Lower 48” captures well the young, naïve feeling of a world of possibilities – like I could just listen to this album, jump into the car, and find myself in some wonderful new land full of hope. If you need an injection of simple happiness in your day, play this CD! Recommended if you dig: Polka Dot Dot Dot, Julie Peel, or Sufjan Stevens.
