Since May 2014, KSPC has had the pleasure to present DJ Selecta Diamond to its audience. On Wednesdays 2-4pm you can check out “In Cahoots” for DJ Selecta Diamond’s mix of underground rock, garage rock bands, latin music (Brazilian and Columbian), blues and anything else that might peak his interest!

Raised in Boston, DJ Selecta Diamond grew up listening to classic rock (The Beatles) and country (Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys). From memories of his mom jamming out to Madonna in the car and his dad owning a cassette tape of the Talking Heads’ Greatest Hits, DJ Selecta Diamond’s musical influences have fostered his love of music. DJ Selecta Diamond also shares a dropbox with his friends from back home (two of these are music majors and another also has a radio show) where they continually share new music.

As a DJ at KSPC, Selecta Diamond combines his love for music with his love for talking. He has discovered way more music than he anticipated, whether it is in the KSPC music library and/or on soundcloud, and below he has listed his Top 10 Playlist for this semester:
