Jazz guitar virtuoso Bruce Forman will be a guest on “Claremont Straight Ahead”, hosted by Larry the Fox, at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 3. Bruce has performed and recorded with most of the legends of jazz and has 16 CD’s to his credit as a leader. He is also a composer, arranger, producer, educator, and philanthropist. ln addition, he is an author of a novel and several widely acclaimed instruction books; and he performed the background music for several Clint Eastwood movies, including “Million Dollar Baby”.
His latest unique venture is his fun group “Cow Bop” which combines Western Swing with be-bop jazz, sort of a “Charlie Parker meets Bob Willis” approach which produces surprisingly exciting results. Their latest CD is titled “Too hick for the room”.
