The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be announced on Sunday, February 13, 2011. Nominees in the various jazz-related categories will be featured on Larry the Fox’s show, “Claremont Straight Ahead,” starting at noon on Monday, February 7, 2011.
On the second half of the show, Larry will interview Luther Hughes, Jazz bass virtuoso, arranger, composer, producer, educator, and leader of an outstanding group of jazz musicians known as the “Cannonball-Coltrane Project (CCP)”. The CCP has cut four CD’s and their latest release titled “Things Are Getting Better” is getting great reviews and is very hot on the jazz charts.
