6/11 with Phantom Bangs

Tune in to Shots in the Dark with Joseph on Monday, June 11th, between 10pm and midnight to hear Phantom Bangs perform live in the KSPC basement.

Phantom Bangs is a one person collective from Los Angeles via the seven seas, just trying to drown people on the dance floor. Phantom Bangs is not really into genres but if you were to put a gun to Phantom Bangs’ head Phantom Bangs would say that Phantom Bans is neo lo-fi sludge house.

Want to take a listen before they play LIVE here at the station? Visit their soundcloud at:

6/16 with Patrick Carrico and Back Alley Voodoo

Check out Patrick Carrico & Back Alley Voodoo on Underground with Suzy Saturday June 16! Patrick Carrico & Back Alley Voodoo play a blend of southern rock, country, and blues. If Chris Isaak, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dwight Yoakam, and Howlin’ Wolf had a baby, it would be Patrick Carrico & Back Alley Voodoo. Underground with Suzy runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Tune in to 88.7fm or listen online at kspc.org.

 6/13 with Song Preservation Society

Tune into to KSPC at 5 pm on June 13 to hear an interview with Song Preservation Society and then a couple live tunes. DJ SNL is hosting the band on her show Pursuit of Happiness, which is every Wednesday from 4 to 6pm. What do Song Preservation sound like, you ask? Here’s a quotation from their website: “Song Preservation Society is an alternative folk trio best known for their vocal harmonies, prolific song writing, and charismatic live performances. Most often compared to Crosby Stills & Nash, Paul Simon, Fleet Foxes or Bon Iver, SPS delivers an authentic sound that is both timeless.
