The Olympia, WA – based folk trio Polka Dot Dot Dot released their second album “Syzygy” on Nov. 12th. For fans of their first, “Love Letter to New Zealand,” this album is just as full of spirited hand claps, camp song-esque lyrics, and magical acapella as the debut. Polka Dot Dot Dot crafts  “cosmic” and approachable DIY folk. With few instruments and lo-fi recording, this is certainly music for anybody and everybody. The three members, Jordan O’ Jordan, Onyx of Olympia, and  Colleen Johnson (also know as Twig Palace) share the vocal duties as they sing of relatable themes of love, loss, and dreams.  These themes are set to simple melodies and discussed in creative and whimsical lyrics. The result is a mellow and optimistic album, full of divine 3-part harmonies and otherwordly ornamentation.

Polka Dot Dot Dot are coming to Los Angeles tomorrow, Monday, 11/23 to DIY art space Historical Monument 157. Tune in to “The Underground Velvet Show” with DJ Greer from 10AM-12PM to secure a space for you and a lucky friend at the show!
