DJ Abu Muzak hosts the electronic show the “Intercontinental Hangover,” formerly known as “The Scratching Post, which airs Wednesday nights from 10 p.m. to midnight.  When asked to describe the kind of music he plays, DJ Abu Muzak responded that he plays quite a mixture.  “My show has always been multi-genre,†he says. “It’s an underground show, but I also play a lot of loud rock, a lot of post rock, and some Americana.  I always end the show with a half-hour of hip-hop and electronic.â€
DJ Abu Muzak has been at KSPC for almost four years now. Although he did not originally expect to get involved in college radio, he decided to volunteer after meeting the KSPC summer staff and learning about the station from his Orientation Adventure Leader.
Julian cites Bridgetown in La Puente as one of his favorite local music venues. Recently, Julian saw Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate).
“They had been one of my favorite bands in high school, and I finally got to see them here,†he said.
