Big Horn Music Festival:Â Mt. Baldy
While everyone down in Claremont was sluggishly slurping podges and smoothies while melting away in the 100+ degree heat, I escaped to the peak of Baldy for the Big Horn Baldy Bluegrass Festival. A bunch of sweet acoustic, Americana, roots, and many other groups rose up on the ski lift to belt out their tunes in milder weather. The Top of the Notch restaurant hosted all of us as we soaked in the breeze and the crooning coming from Jesse Cross and his classic rock-y, folk band, which started off the Terraces set around midday. The small, quaint family atmosphere came together with the outdoorsy hiking and biking types. Everyone was sippin’ brews with orange slices, hula-hooping, and just staring at the sheer beauty of the mountains.
