On Sunday, March 25th KSPC is kicking off our “5-C Invasion” in-store series at Rhino Records in the Claremont Village with Pitzer alum Katie Ferrara! Every Sunday at 3pm from March 25- April 15th, mosey on down to Rhino and let the Claremont Colleges’ best and brightest musical acts serenade you with a free show.
For the first act we bring you Katie Ferrara, a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Her influences include artists such as Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple, Ingrid Michaelson, and Meiko. As a student at Pitzer College, she played in venues such as the Universal Bar and Grill and The Old Towne Pub while making regular appearances at the CK Café in Claremont. In 2010, Katie left the country to live in London, England. During her stay, she became Featured Artist at Soho’s Spice of Life Cafe and recorded her original music with producer Jonathan Guillaumat. She has released her first EP “When Love’s Not Around” in December 2011.
